Established as a company in 2009, Shotwize was formed to celebrate the wealth of experience gained in the video production industry since the 1980’s. Our founder has literally been involved in video production since first picking up a video camera at 11 years of age, when offered an opportunity to work with a local professional, JP Video who specialised in social and corporate film and video production. The passion for creativity and the dedication to keep a full interest in video production for almost an entire lifetime has meant that since those early days of being taught the trade and being fortunate to start learning on full broadcast spec kit, and understanding the fundamentals such as recording formats, lenses, lighting, sound and direction, coupled with the skill of operating in fast paced demanding situations, offering the full production package including post production and delivery… Fast forward almost 40 years, and the industry is as demanding as ever, although the basics have not changed to much! Today, Shotwize encapsulates all the elements of what is important about a video equipment retailer: Our customer value is; ‘Service before the sale’.
