Metabones Canon EF Lens to BMCC Booster MB_SPEF-BMCC-BT1

The Canon EF to BMCC mount T Speed BoosterTM adapters are designed exclusively for the Blackmagic 2.5k Cinema Camera (BMCC). These adapters increase the maximum aperture by 11/3 stop, with a maximum output aperture of f/0.80. This results in an increase in MTF and makes the lens 0.64x wider. The optics are designed by Caldwell Photographic in the USA and are currently pending patent.

When using the Speed Booster with “passive” MFT camcorders/cameras, such as the BMCC 2.5K MFT and Digital Bolex D16 MFT, it must be powered by an external power source via the Micro-USB socket. However, when using with “active” MFT camcorders/cameras, such as the BMPCC MFT, no external power source is required as the Speed Booster can be powered by the camera body. The lens aperture is controlled by a dial button on the adapter and it features a high performance 32-bit processor and efficient switched-mode power supply. The tripod foot is detachable and compatible with various ball heads, and the inner hole is coated with flocking material to reduce internal reflection.
