Please note that the Battery Grip does not come with a battery included. This accessory is designed to extend the battery life for active outdoor shooting by using two batteries – one in the camera and one in the grip. This allows for extended shooting time without having to constantly change batteries.

The DMW-BGS1 Battery Grip not only doubles the battery life, but also offers the convenience of charging the camera via USB while simultaneously charging the grip. This accessory is ergonomically designed to provide a more comfortable grip, even when shooting in a vertical angle. It is also built to withstand rugged conditions with its dust and splash-resistance, and can be used in temperatures as low as -10°C. The grip is designed to perfectly match the camera, with the same style of buttons and intuitive joystick control.
