This gear drives the lens through friction without the need for a follow focus ring, making it compact and portable. It also comes with a storage bag for convenience and can be mounted in different positions, making it compatible with lenses of varying diameters. The all-metal locking structure ensures safety and stability, while the freely adjustable AB stops make it easy to set the desired focus length.

In addition, the SmallRig mini Follow Focus F40 3010C features an anti-sweat, anti-slip focus knob for a comfortable and precise feel. It also comes with a rod clamp and a lightweight silicone gear, which can be easily locked to the side or top of most cages. However, it should be noted that the silicone gear is only compatible with SLR/mirrorless lenses and should be removed before using a cinema lens. To avoid gear slippage, it is important to ensure that the silicone gear fits tightly with the lens ring, especially for large-damping zoom lenses. The snap-on follow focus gear ring can support lenses with a maximum diameter of 114mm.
