Description

The SMAD-P5 Multi Interface (MI) Shoe Adaptor allows for easy and cable-free connection of the URX-P40 wireless receiver to compatible camcorders or interchangeable-lens cameras featuring an MI (Multi Interface) shoe. This adaptor also supports direct digital audio recording, bypassing A/D and D/A conversion stages for high-quality sound with low noise. Additionally, the adaptor allows for convenient power management, with the receiver power being controlled directly from the camera.

The SMAD-P5 is compatible with a wide range of cameras, including XDCAM Camcorders, NXCAM Camcorders, Cinema Line Cameras, Handycams, and interchangeable lens digital cameras. Digital connection is available for select models, and the PXW-FX9, PXW-Z280/Z190, and IMLE-FX6V can display the wireless microphone status on the LCD or viewfinder. Please note that firmware upgrades may be required for certain camera models, and it is recommended to use AA alkaline batteries in the receiver when using it with the PXW-Z150 or HXR-NX5R operated by AC power to avoid any potential issues with power supply or control.
