Description

The FX9 Full Frame Interchangeable Camcorder offers a full-frame 17:9 mode with a conventional front-illuminated sensor, as seen in the FS7 II. The sensor also has a dual base ISO of 800 and 4000. New features include volume control buttons, the ability to control 4 channels of audio, and a set of arrow keys for menu navigation. The LCD screen has a resolution of 1280 x 720 and genlock and timecode are now built into the body, eliminating the need for the XDCA. The camera also offers advanced autofocus options, including Face Priority AF, Face Only AF, and Face Registration. The FX9 has a well-balanced body design and can be operated in shoulder style. It also offers a wide range of exposure and depth of field control, as well as built-in gyro recording for shake compensation.

For high mobility, the FX9 is networked for remote control and monitoring with Content Browser Mobile™. It also offers FTP transfer, trimming, and XDCAM air for cloud uploading and remote access. The camera can be connected to the internet through a wired LAN port or with the optional XDCA-FX9. It also has the option for dual link cellular connectivity for even more reliable network connection. The FX9 comes with a high-quality 28-135mm zoom lens, designed specifically for professional movie-making with features such as independent control rings, quiet operation, and a compact, dust and moisture resistant design.
